Packaging Design

This task required the creation of packaging for a luxury product which could withstand transportation and used no additional materials to hold it together.

 

I created the luxury brand ‘The Lipstick’ with the tagline “Lipstick that lasts”.  I produced a versatile design which could be changed for different lipstick colours. The design creates a feeling of luxury by utilising a rose image, glossy white space and a black handwritten font. 

 

The colour of the rose and block of colour at the base of the packaging allows each lipstick colour to be represented without changing the design. 

 

During this task I learnt all about creating net packaging, and used these skills to create packaging with fold and cut lines that would allow it to be easily constructed. No additional materials are required to keep the packaging together. The lipstick sits comfortably in the well measured design, allowing wiggle room to get the lipstick out of the packaging. 

 

I also learnt how to download and install fonts.
